speedometer going on and off 700

My speedometer is going on and off . I will be driving for a while and all is well then it goes. Than i go over as bump and it comes back on . I have checked the connection at the back all seems good , Any ideas would be great.
This speedometer was replaced about 6 months ago and has been working fine till last sunday .
I own a 88,740 gle wagon with a b230f engine.
