What else can stop my 86 740?

Steve,

What's the condition of the wiring harness? Any bad, crumbling insulation? Check the fuel injection ground wires on the intake manifold. They should be clean, corrosion, free and tight. You may want to clean them up anyway and put a little die-electric grease on them. Check all you under hood wiring connections for corrosion and tightness. On a N/A 740 the radio supression relay should clipped to the side of the coolant over flow bottle(expansion tank). Good luck.
