Alternatively, it is easy to reach in and un-clip the harness connector. Then plug in the spare or new sensor (borrowed or obtained at a pick and pull) and see if it resolves the problem. It helps to have a garage full of spare stuff from which to pull a sensor, of course.
I know this is not your problem but for example, if you need a hot sensor (i.e. to diagnose its role in a car is running too rich when warmed up), direct a hair dryer at the substituted sensor. I used this method to rule out a coolant temp sensor in a rich condition recently.
