Ditto the other poster. Double check those numbers on the AMM, you want to make sure the last 3 numbers are the same. I have a feeling the one you have put in is for the B230 and the 83 probably has a B23 therefore different AMM. My 87 and 84 have different AMM's. Then check the fuel pump relay and main fuel pump fuses (fuse box and the one in engine compartment) first off as they're the easiest to check out.
