Well, at the very least, the wastegate setting should probably at a lower boost level than the G-valve will be set at. Stock setting of the actuator rod would probably be good.
If you have a bike pump with an accurate gauge, you can pump air into the G valve and see what pressure it holds. That is how I set mine, and when I put it in the car, the car made exactly the amount of boost that I set it for.
Otherwise, just set the G valve for a low pressure, and turn it up as you drive and see how much boost you are making.
