relay heat 700 1986

I have had a little trouble with my car and replaced a fuel relay and it may have done the deed. In the process of learning the ins and outs of relays I found I have a relay that gets warm. This relay is the fan and eletric windows. I bought a new one and it also wanted to heat up.
I don't understand why that one only has a problem. Melman
