B18 engine

Engine type 496816 is a 90 hp B18D used in both the 122 and the 544.
It gets 90 hp at 5000 rpm, 105 ft-lb of torque at 3500 rpm.
CR is 8.5:1 Valve clearance should be .020-022" Ingnition advance
should be 22-24° BTDC @1500 rpm. Has the "A" cam.

(All the above assumes that everything is original.)
It could probably be gotten up to 115 hp by nothing more than a
little milling of the head and a "C" stock cam.

My choice would be to put a B20E engine in it and use the carb
manifold it came with. Stock it would probably get you 125 hp
and is amenable to substantial improvement.
