I have an engine block question 700

Actually, when the car heats up the noise is about the same, more or less. It doesn't sound like a ruler slap but a clunky mechanical problem.

This is beginning to look more like I need an engine job which is exactly what a student like myself can't afford.

Oh well, I appreciate the advice and will take a good long look at the FAQs today.
