Auto to Manual conversion questions 700 1987

The conversion is insanely easy. 8 hours on my driveway. You can also use a cable for the clutch if you are so inclined to. I did the whole thing for about 450$....You can also get an M-46 out of a 200 series...the only thing you would have to change is the shift linkage though. Its placed much farther back on a 700. But if I were you, I would try to get one out of an 87 700 or later. The gearboxes were alumnium instead of cast iron. They are much lighter, and supposed to be a better gearbox. Otherwise its just like doing a clutch on an already manual car. With the exception of putting the pedal cluster and a different driveshaft in. If youve got any questions feel free to ask. It makes the car much more fun to drive if you ask me. volvorod85@mailcity.com
