Helpppppp!!!! This is driving me crazy. '87 740

When I have the distributor out and rotate the shaft by hand, I have spark from the coil. When I install the disbributor in the motor and turn it over with a remote starter, I have no spark from the coil. If I loosen the distributor and turn it by hand while still installed, I have spark.

What could be causing this?
