knock sensor testing 900 1991

Hi all,

I read a couple of weeks ago about testing the knock sensor on bosch LH injection. The person who wrote the info said resistance should be about 4.8Ohms or so. I took the knock sensor off my 91 940 with B230F and tested it and got nothing. No response. Or it may have read infinity. I also tested the knock sensor on my folks 90 740GL and got the same result. Are they both non functioning? Would a non functioning knock sensor result in the hesitation my car displays when the engine is cold? By way of background when the engine is cold and I push on the throttle to accelerate the engine hesitates and sputters briefly then is OK. What does everyone think?

Thanks

Brad
