removing front seals

Get the gasket for the carrier that the front crank seal and bal shaft seal ride in. It's likely that they're fried beyond belief and you will not be able to pick them out in one piece. (If you have the gasket you can remove the whole panel and push them out from behind...)

Just did this on Sunday. :) Other than the above, I'd say replace the timing belt and drive belts, you're taking them off anyway...

Oh yeah, and if you remove the carrier panel, don't then drop a bolt into your oil pan. (Set me back an hour while a friend drove me to the store to buy one of those telescoping magnet thingers....)
