starts problem in the morning 200 1979

Hello Folks,

I have starting problem in the morning or after car been sitting for some period of time (4,5 hours). It needs 3,4 turning cycles before it starts and then it stalls, rev goes up and down ( so I need to press accelerator to keep it live ) but soon as it starts driving, rev become even. When motor is warm or after short sitting period it starts straight away. I have cleaned trottle body, changed rotor, spark plugs, tuned up, but to get right rev 800 I needed to unscrew idle adjuster to much (my feeling). All vacuum lines appear to be ok. Since I bough this car (my second Volvo) 6 months ago there is some creaking sound from fuel pump. I was told by previous owner pump was changed and He thought that fuel accumulator produces that sound. Except that sound ( which become louder as tank empties ) there is no problem during driving. Any idea is welcome.

Cheers
Goran
