I would take it to another shop.

Is the radius rod bent? It certainly didn't compress 3mm. If the rod is not bent, then I would suspect the bushings are shot. The two forward radius rod bushings are prone to failure.

Or.. This problem may have been there pre-pothole, and the real problem lies elswhere.
