Flooded EFI B230F 700 1988

I've traced a no start problem in my 740 GLE wagon to flooded cylanders. The engine was very cold and wouldn't start but cranked easily. The result of all the cranking was flooding. Does anybody have any sugggestions on how to keep the cylanders from flooding in cold weather? Shouldn't there be a way to keep this from happening? Any suggestions?
