How do I Detail my Engine Compartment?

I'll use my garden sprayer, filling with hot water from the faucet, then mix in some simple green. The sprayer makes it fairly easy to aim behind the head, underneath, etc... I use an old toilet brush on mine. It is not very agressive, but I don't let the crud build up too deep.

If the engine is slightly warm too, the crud will come off easier. Now, I did not say HOT! That will just end up vaporizing components of your detergent. Good luck...
