Flame trap hoses 200

I just picked up a new flame trap kit today at the volvo dealer. The small diameter connector on the new FT housing turns out to be smaller in diameter than the old FT. Right now, It looks like there is 'fuel line' hose that connects the FT to the intake mainfold. What hose should i use now? If i go with a smaller hose, it won't fit around the nipple on the intake manifold. also, i'm having trouble getting the FT housing to go into the Large hose (the one that connects the FT to the air filter box).

Are there adapters out there than can adapt a smaller hose into a larger hose?
How can i get that pesky FT to fit inside the large hose?

Please, any help greatly appreciated... once again. And Thanks for suggestions and ideas on past posts.
