It is the O/D relay, most likely. The light circuit is separate from the solenoid power circuit, so if you're having trouble withe both, it's the relay. They go bad, but many times it is the solder connections inside the relay and can be easily repaired.
Don Foster posted a good set of instructions. I can't find it, so here's a narrative:
To get to the relay, remove the glove box. Phillips screwdriver, no need to unload the whatever out of the box (how nice?). Caveat: do not overtighten the screws when replacing the box.
Look to the left and you should see the relay. The relay is a block shape, about 1 x 1 x 2 inches. There may be a clip holding it in place, a flat tip screwdriver helps to loosen it. Pull the relay off the base. If you are tempted to pry it off with a screwdriver, be sure the ingnition is off. (I like to listen to the radio when working.)
The cover can be removed from the relay, I use a couple of small screwdrivers.
The you'll see the circuit board and terminal connections. Cracks in the solder connection can be invisible.
Use a low wattage small tip soldering iron. Avoid using too much solder as it is easy to bridge between lines on the circuit board. Usually just re-heating will do the job.
Once the re-soldering is done, I put the relay in and test things out before replacing anything else. Sometimes, if time permits, I re-organize the stuff in the glove box. So far I have not found any living things in there, but I am always on the alert.
That's it.
Good Luck,
Bob
