Nope! Not OUR Don!
****The linguistics analyst and Vassar College professor who unmasked the anonymous author of the political novel "Primary Colors" turns his attention to a stilted phrase - "Take Penacilin now" - on anthrax-tainted letters sent in September to Tom Brokaw and The New York Post.****
****The misspelling, he said, suggests that the letter writer, who also praises Allah, is not a native English speaker.****
The letters were all mailed from New Jersey, the "mother lode" of pharmaceutical companies and pharmaceutical research. Where there are THOUSANDS of labs where researchers are doing their thing, usually involving some incomprehensible and esoteric issue that they alone are interested in and no one else anywhere on the planet has even a CLUE as to exactly what most of them are doing behind the closed doors to their labs. The ONE word that's misspelled is "Penicillin". Which is also the one word you could be absolutely certain any pharmaceutical researcher worth his salt would be able to spell correctly.
Our linguist therefore concludes "that the letter writer, who also praises Allah, is not a native English speaker".
THIS deep thought gets you tenure at Vassar??? THIS Dr. Foster is spending too much time surrounded by nubile young 'uns!
'n not enough time twirling wrenches.
No one who's ever contemplated a 240 heater blower motor could ever reach such a flawed conclusion.
