Porsche

Learned to shift stick on a 911S. Do not have a 911, but have a 944 that mostly sits in my garage.

In a nutshell, you can break down 911s into 4 basic categories.

1965-1975. They RUST. They rust so badly that if you turn out the lights in your garage you can actually HEAR 'em rust. EVERYTHING rusts on 'em, even the plastic!

1975-1977. 911S. Magnesium crankcase flexes like a banana. They all leak oil, and require frequent engine rebuilds.

1978-1983 SC and 1984-1989 Carrera. Bullerproof and don't rust. Best Porsches, ever. In my opinion. Not much to them to break. Heat and AC still a sad joke, though.

1989-up. Carrera 4, then Carrera 2. Added ABS, unbelievable complexity. Don't, unless you're rich, and if you are rich buy a new one.

They're all a blast to drive early on a Sunday morning when there's no traffic, but 98% oof the time they're awfully impractical.
