I had terrible problems with my 740's lighting. I suspect problems with the wiring or sockets, relays don't fail often...especially gangs of them. I wound up re-grounding all of my front lights, rewiring a couple positives as well, and replacing a socket. Regrounding wasn't as bad as it sounds because there's a handy set of grounding terminals to connect to inside the front fenders.
