Amp light weirdness 140-160 1973

My 145 has a number of electrical oddities in its instrument panel. Here's a new one:

The amp light turns on and stays on with the key out of the car. With the motor running, everything appears normal.

Does this mean power is trickling out of the battery due to a short? What are the likely spots for that and how does one check for them? I disconnected the battery to be on the safe side.

This just began today, and it's rainy out, so that might have something to do with it.

I hate electricity.
