I would like to change the colour of my dash lighting to the futuristic blue look of the modern VW Golfs. Has anyone else done this? Where can i get the bulbs?In the UK my owners manual says the instrument lights use 3W "W 2.1X9.5 d" bulbs - not sure what that means or if it is helpful. The picture in the manual looks like a thin glass bulb with no metal base - maybe Volkwagen have the same and a straight swap? I am thinking maybe my dash uses clear bulbs and a coloured lens for the light greeny colour illumination which may make putting blue bulbs behind the already coloured plastic a bit naff.
