Howdy y'all, I am back to beg for more help.
Here is my problem; my 88 740T with 75,000 miles on it has developed a hard start issue. From what I have read/searched for on these forums my problem seems to be slightly different than most.
The car will always start, but it usually takes about 7-10 seconds of cranking. It cranks at full speed but just takes a while to catch. When it does catch, it idles rough for about another 10 seconds, or until I rev it a little.
Within the last 5,000 miles I have replaced the fuel filter, the spark plugs, the timming belt, and the spark plug wires.
I tried wiggling the computer cable as suggested, but no dice. I don't think its a pump issue because it never seems to lean out or have other problems while running. (How would I test this anyway?)
Could it be the AMM? I have noticed about a 1 mpg drop in my fuel efficiency in the last month or so.
Thanks!
