I posted before about collection of water in rear passenger footwellÿ I did as suggested. Please keep in mind that I know nothing about cars (though very eager to learn) and that this car is an important family hauler, not just a project. I removed side carpeted panels in cargo area, took out back seat, pulled off black trim at rear door sill, pulled back carpet as far as possible (saturated padding had frozen to metal floor). I continued to pour a couple gallons of water over the window seals and over the roof rack connections. I watched for trickling water & there was none. Yes the car has a/c (not used yet), yes the car had its windshield replaced just before I bought it, yes the front footwell gets wet, but nothing like the rear (and the front of the front wheelwell stays pretty dry), no the area under the rear seats doesn't appear to be affected by moisture. What's my next step here? People mentioned running a wire thru drains to clean them out. Where are they? I saw no such holes. I saw some 2" long oval shaped white plastic plugs. Do something with them? Pulled one & they lead to a cavity under the car. I'm pretty desperate here. I bought this car for my wife & infant twins, & I've had a lot of problems with it. I paid to have most fixed but this one I'd like to do this myself. I'm handy, but not with cars. Please halp. Thanks in advance. DW
