Ok by red stuf i assume you are refering to the extended life antifreeze also commonly referred to as "DEXCOOL". There are some differences in the anti-corrosion additives used in the long life antifreeze. If you switch to the extended life antifreeze be sure to completely flush the system first, a mix of green and red together does not protect as well as either one alone (protection from corrosion that is, both are ethelyne glycol based and have the same protection against freezing and boiling). In my opinion I'd just stay with the green and change it every two years.
