I remember reading posts a long time ago about this. People have done both styles at home (the old style is a PITA due to all the fragile clips that hold it together), but it seems they really recommend having a pro do the job - they're more likely to get it right (no leaks) the first time. If you really want to do it yourself, I wouldn't touch the old style!
