Re: pick -n- pull 200 1987

The type of salvage yard that allows you in to select and remove your parts of choice. They often have you sign a liability waiver and let you spend all day treasure hunting. The best yards put the cars up high enough to get at suspension parts. More importantly, they often have a fixed and posted price for any and all, say, alternators, seats, alloy wheels and so forth. No Volvo premium pricing. Some offer a guarantee with parts. I get 31 days to return anything I do not like. Parts prices at the best yards are ~5% of Volvo list unlike some specialty yards charging 50% list for used parts. Visiting pick and pulls can be dirty, painful and highly rewarding at the same time. It is a skill finding treasure among all the junk. Highly addicting. There is no better way to learn how to work on your brick. You will also find out how much perfectly good stuff goes to waste when people give up on a car.
