I was thinking back to when I was pushed in reverse out of the snowy median in Wyoming and how very easily the old car backed right out (the snow was literally up to the middle of the door on the driver's side and to the bottom of the door on the passenger side. Two guys pushing on the front and me in the car driving in reverse and the car literally backed right out of the median, up the hill (at an angle) and onto the interstate. There was no extra weight in the rear other than two snow tires and the gas tank was only about 1/4 to 3/4 full.
This got me wondering whether or not I had a limited slip differential. Were they dealer installed options on 142's? Is there any way I can tell if I have one by looking at a code on the car or do I have to jack one side of the car up and attempt to turn that wheel?
The car has a few 'extra" options on it: air conditioning and a little knob on the dash for intermittent wiper operation (which actually works very well).
