So what do you get for a C70 or an S40?
Like most type designations the rule is only good so far.
Actually a 2-door 122 is really a 132 and a 5-door 122 wagon
(it actually has 6 doors) is really a 222.
And the 444 and 544 only have 2 doors.
I don't remember seeing a model called the 111.
Most of the models ending in 5 are indeed station wagons,
and many of the intermediate models (144, 164, 244) do have 4
doors. But with the 240 series they quit using the last digit
somewhere along the line (too many different insignias?) so
it breaks down at that point and didn't even start till about
1967. Then there is the 1800 and the 1800ES.....
And if this is causing you to lose your hair, you'd better take
up another hobby! Maybe golf?????????
