Hope you all can help me with this one.
the ammeter in my 70/145 alternates between a nice steady charge and then it will start to flick between a big charge and a discharge.
its getting my goat!
SO far i have checked all grounds. batt to frame ,frame to engine,regulator to frame.
Iwent along living with it for a while but it cost me a new alternator.
Ive tried 3 different good regulators..... still does it.
occasionally it will just go to discharge and stay there until i disconnect the field wire from the reg and reconnect it, seems to re set it.
when in flicker mode at night it makes the head and dash lights pulse quite a bit.
What have I missed?
