Tach 140-160 1972

I'm looking at the ad on ebay for that "Rally?" "GT?" instrument cluster for a 164. Looks great - if it will fit, and if the guy doesn't think it is made out of gold. At any rate, if this doesn't work out, how about try to mount a later tach (like from a 1974) in the clock position in the center dash? Believe it or not, the diameter is a perfect fit. However, is the wiring there for the tach? If so, where should I look and for what color?
