Re: - Cracked Head?-- Please Advise ALL

cracked head- low on power, water in oil, water in exhaust

head gasket- again water in oil or water in oil low on power again, get a compression test done

vacuum line- rough idle but smooths out when revved, idles fast, or slow. lots of things could happen with a bad vacuum line. just check them out, floolw them make sure they aren't cracked or splitting. spray a flammable spray on it, ie carb cleaner. ( keep fire extinguisher around)

I had this same problem on my 240 a couple of years ago, only happend in the really hot weather, but hte car never over heated. found out the inner fuel pump was dead and the one outside the tank was dieing becuase of the extra strain on it. also while iwas changeing htem out, found out all my fuel lines were rotten and cracking so replaced them all at the same time...... check it out.. might be worth it
