ONLY if the car is a live axle 760.

An 89 probably has IRS Multilink suspension, for which replacing the Nivomats isn't as simple: You've got to change the springs (but nobody makes them, you've got to take IPD 240 overload coils and cut the pigtails off) and then there's the fact that nobody makes shocks that will directly bolt in where the IRS Nivomats go. They have a unique lower mounting bracket that will require some fabrication to duplicate or carry over to the new shock.
