Another odd Problem 200 1983

Okay this is a continuation of my 'stumbling brick' problem - just to let everyone know, I replaced the fuel feed pump and that took care of it, cleaning and readjusting the idle fixed my rough idle problem so thanks to everyone who suggested something. But now something else odd is happening.

I was running downtown and got a few blocks from my house, I happed to look at my gauges and the tempature sensor was pegged in the orange, so I quickly turned off the car and coasted to the side of the road, I popped the hood and to my supprise the engine was not even warm to the touch.

Later that night while driving hope I noticed that running the heater (it was cold last night) causes the gauge to drop to the normal running zone, and turning it off again causes it to rise. Sounds like a short? Or is the tempature sensor maybe faulty?

Jeff
