Starting Problems 700 91

Having a periodic starting problem that is driving me nuts! Although the car is a late 91/early 92 (regina system), I've been having this problem for a while and it's been getting worse. Periodically, my car just won't start...the engine turns, I hear the fuel pump (recently replaced) turn on but nothing. When I first had the problem I wrote down the time/weather, etc to see if I could pinpoint it to a particular time or weather condition but never found a correlation. However, what I'm now finding is that on the vast majority of times, the car will start first thing in the morning. However, even after a short trip to the store or to work, if I shut it down, it may not start....keeps cranking but nothing. I can wait a half hour or, in some cases 15 minutes to a few hours later and it starts right up....I just keep trying and eventually it starts. Once it starts, it never shuts off while driving. To date, I've replaced the plugs, the rotor, the cap, the ignition coil and cable, the starter, the battery and, yes, even the engine (that's another story not related to this problem)....tried to replace anything I could think of short of any computer related parts. I love the car and it's in great shape but the lack of confidence I have in it is "killing me" as I just don't know when it will happen again. I have recently made an appointment with the dealer but it's not for another week; however, another friend in the military just informed me about your site.....any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again, Bob
