I bought the Haynes auto air conditioning and heating manual. It was

very well written to be easy to understand. It was also only $12 for

the book. After that I still don't fill or vacuum pump the system but

I know how it all works and I replace the bad parts and hoses myself.

Then I have the shop do the vacuuming and filling.
