No fuel 200 1984

Ok, pros. Just acquired 84 240 auto tranny. No run. Fuel pump in trunk. Does run with carb starter being squirted, but only while squirting. Main pump works on bench, but not on car. Fuses OK. We hooked fuel pump (while on car) to separate (extra) battery source and we do get gas as far as the hose prior to the fuel injectors but apparently not to the injectors themselves. Whacha think? Fuel inject sensor? system sensor? ECU? I see these pictured in manual. P.S. Hear clicking from passenger side either relay at toe or ecu at rt ankle. What dat?
