flathood(?) vin 200 1983

I went and looked at the car again today. I must have been

smoking crack when I looked at it before -- it has 2 rectangular

headlamps on each side, about the same size as an early version

of the 740.

The vin number is yv1ax4725d2235870

The car has a watercooled turbo, intercooler, somewhat broken

sunroof, pretty ratty interior, 4+od transmission that seems to

work, 85mph speedo, and 174000 miles.

I drove it, it is mostly tight. It was not as fast as I thought

it would be -- my 164 would run rings around it. It has broken

AC, will need probably new carpets, new seats, new windlace on

the drivers side door, and new plastic liners for the windshield.

The timing belt cover is somewhat melted, and some of the harness

looks a little messed up. The blower fan blows strong and quiet,

the power doors work, and it got 1.8bars oil pressure at hot idle.

No cruise control.

The current owner wants about $3000 for it.

In good tune, what kind of milage could I expect from this beast?

chris
