I'm confused regarding radiator coolant. Everybody tels me that their should be a 50%/50% water/coolant mixture. This is supposed to provide maximum protection. If there is more coolant than water then the car will run hot. However, on the coolant container is says that if you want to increase both the boiling point and the freezing point of the coolant you add more coolant than water. At presnt my car is running hot only in stop and go traffic on hot days, and I don't know what the correct coolant/water combo is right to reduce overheating. Any info. or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
