I just cracked a SK 12pt deep chrome socket while torquing lug nuts (85 lb ft). I generally try not to abuse my tools, and didn't think this was a bad (well, should have least been a 6pt) application until it split. Now using a Sears 6pt impact socket for the lug nuts.
