You can certainly take the pump apart and clean it,

and at the same time see if the motor turns freely,

and if so, if it runs (intermittently because it is cooled

by the fuel).

Maybe when you take it apart you can see why it quit.

I have several that I have taken apart and un-fouled.

One of them is noisy but it works.
