Are there any affordable aftermarket electronic ignition

setups that use the stock distributor and have knock detection /

ignition retarding?

I sometimes see bosch blue coils at the salvage yard. Are

they worth getting if I go with something like the crane 700 or

3000? This would be used on a B30 powered 164.

New plug wires helped the fireworks problem -- the car's

running better than before. I've got new plugs on order.

I cleaned the old ones and some were very nasty.
