I am about to send the 142 parts car to the crusher, and was wondering if the steering wheel is worth saving...

Its got one of them nifty Volvo sport steering wheels with the thick padding around it...3 spokes. The wheel itself is clearly shot...one of the spokes is broken through, and the vinyl cover is gone and the padding is falling off....but....is the hub worth keeping for use with other aftermarket wheels?
