Speedometer correction 200 79

Recently purchased '79 245 DL with AW 55 trans. Apparently, the rear axle was replaced at some point with a 3.73 ratio unit (junkyard markings). Speedo only reads 55 mph at 3500 rpm. My guess is I am actually traveling at something closer to 70 mph. Original axle ratio should have been 3.91, or am I wrong? Is there a way to correct this without changing out the axle?
