My '86 DL has a delay relay, so does my mom's '89 DL. So I would guess that maybe all models after a certain year had 'em. Yeah, makes me paranoid too, I also watch mine more often than not. This especially since I noticed that if the door is left open for more than a few minutes, the delay timer will NOT turn off and I have to reset it by closing the door and turning the light off manually. After a minute or two the delay will turn off again. Something heating up, I guess, and fritzing out. Incidentally, I have no idea where the damn thing is. Sorry.
