limited slip differential 200 1975

I just bought a limitede slip rear-axle that came from a 740. its from a multilink rear axle... I'm planning on installing the lock to a 240-axle...

the 240 axle is a old one, probably from a seventies car... ratio: 3,9:1

im not sure that it fits, the axle looks the same, the 740 have a speedosensor on the backcover, but that seems to be the major difference...

what i need are som good tips on a complete rear-axle rebuild... howto measure the right "tightness" in the bearings, howto get the right "touch" on the gears with somekind of color...

ideas?..

thanks..
