you probably have different brands of sealed beams(headlights) on either side; or you have a halogen on one side and a non-halogen on the other.....or you have different models of headlamps--for example: Sylvania halogen on one side, Sylvania extra vision halogen on the other.........what this boils down to is different current draw for the two sides of the headlights, which trips the lamp out sensor and turns on that sometimes very annoying yellow dash light
