It's condensation, and is usually not serious.

Water vapor is a major byproduct of combustion, and some combustion gasses leak into the crankcase (blowby). So the H2O component will condense on the inside of cool surfaces, such as the oil cap and probably the entire cam cover.

In this weather it's worse with short trips. Allowing the engine to get good and hot should evaporate it. So even if you're only going from Woburn to Waltham, go by way of Worcester.
