If i remember correctly, it's a little spring clip sort of thinger...

press the ends and slide it out.....took mine off a while ago to check

for damage/rust and to redo the undercoating....yeah, it's a good

place for rust ....i guess it's a natual salt spray collector in

the winter....also the trim just above the bumper...good place for

rust.......also don't forget the rocker panels...access holes under

the carpet ...found leaves, sand, pebbles, an "I Like Ike" button and

the bones of a small jurassic era carnivore......just kidding but it's

amazing the stuff that gets in there......
